Process
Through research, you will study about different pirates, their role in history, how they operated, where they operated, the ships they used and their weaponry. At the end of this Webquest you will share your findings using different types of multimedia, such as Goggle Docs and Pow Toons.

Roles
Day 1-2
Step 1: Introduce
In groups of 2, answer the following questions below.
1. What is a pirate?
2. Why did/do pirates exist?
3. Who could be a pirate? What was the belief about women being pirates?
4. What was a pirates life like? Write a detailed description
5. Describe present day pirates. Who are they, where are they from, why do they exist, who do the threaten?
6. Compare and contrast pirates in the past to present day pirates
7. What parts of world were pirates mostly found in the 1700s? Where are they found today?
8. Why did these areas have pirates?
Please submit this on a google doc through Schoology!

Step 2: Go through each individual task page and follow the instructions to complete each task. Keep the following questions in mind as you are working:
